How to Showcase Your House for A Real Estate Photo Shoot

Are you trying to sell a house in Central New Jersey? Oh boy, you’re in for a treat! With high property values, you will want to make sure that your house looks its absolute best for those listing photos. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with a few tips and tricks to make your home shine like a diamond.

First things first, let’s declutter that joint. Stuff as much as you can into closets and unused rooms like the garage, or even an unfinished basement.  Get rid of anything you haven’t seen in the past six months, and if it’s still in good condition, consider donating it to your local charity. If it’s seen better days, well, it’s time to say goodbye. And remember, if you haven’t used it, lose it. This also includes that collection of porcelain cats you’ve been hoarding in the living room, no one wants to see that.

Next up, cleaning and organizing. Now, this is where things can get a little tricky. You want to make sure your home looks spotless, but you also don’t want to spend all day scrubbing away. So, the secret here is to focus on the areas that will be photographed. That means dusting the mantelpiece, wiping down the kitchen counters, and fluffing the pillows. And for goodness sake, hide the dirty dishes and empty pizza boxes, no one wants to see that in their dream home.

Now that the house is looking spick and span, it’s time to stage it. And by stage, we mean make your home look like a Pinterest board. So, put some flowers in a vase, put a book on the coffee table, and for goodness sake, make the bed! You want your home to look like it’s ready for a photoshoot, not like a college frat house.

In conclusion, preparing for a real estate photo shoot in Central New Jersey can be a daunting task, but with a little bit of preparation and organization, you can showcase your property in the best light possible. And if all else fails, remember the magic words: “I’ll just buy a new house.”
